2010 "Quit to Win" Smoking Cessation Contest
Format
- The duration of the Contest lasts for 6 months (starting from the enrollment date).
- All participants will be given a smoking cessation pamphlet, while some of them may be allocated to face-to-face smoking cessation counseling services on recruitment site(s).
Criteria for Entry
- The Council will hold recruitment days at designated dates, time and venues by setting up recruitment booths in district shopping malls. Public who are interested to join are welcome to visit our website http://www.smokefree.hk or call 2185 6399 for latest details.
- Participants are required to go through a preliminary assessment of smoking status by the professional smoking cessation counselors before they take part in the contest.
- Smoking cessation counselors will follow up and verify the progress of the participants in quitting smoking.
"Quit to Win" Lucky Draw
- A lucky draw will be held in March 2011.
- Participants who reported to have stopped smoking at 6 months will be invited for a biochemical validation of their smoking status by measuring exhaled CO and salivary cotinine levels. Those who had passed the biochemical validation will then be invited to join the lucky draws.
- There are 3 lucky winners who are entitled to win supermarket cash coupon worth HKD$10,000 respectively*. Another 10 lucky winners will win supermarket cash coupon worth HKD$4,000 individually*.
* Prizes are not redeemable for cash

TVB "Quit to Win" TV Game Show
Some participants will be shortlisted and invited to participate in TVB "Quit to Win" Game Show.
Finalists will participate in the TV game show to compete for fabulous prizes and share their experiences of smoking cessation in the program.
Prizes:
Winners of TVB "Quit to Win" Game Show will receive the following awards:
- Champion: HKD$ 10,000 and fabulous prizes*
- First Runner-up: HKD$ 5,000 and fabulous prizes*
- Second Runner-up: HKD$ 3,000 and fabulous prizes*

"We support you to quit smoking" Rewarding Scheme
To encourage more people to encourage their friends and family members to kick the smoking habit, “We support you to quit smoking” Rewarding Scheme will be held to encourage the participants who nominate and support their smoking friends or relatives to participate in "Quit to Win" Contest 2010. Those nominees who have nominated their friends or family members to join the “Quit to Win” Contest and quitted successfully were entitled to join a lucky draw. A total of 3 nominees will receive the special prize of supermarket cash coupon worth HKD$3,000 individually (Prizes are not redeemable for cash).
